House Manager in San Francisco

We are looking for a smart, hands-on House Manager to join a great team in taking care of and overseeing a multi-level home in Noe Valley, San Francisco. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, but requires flexibility. Seeking someone who is open to learning and growing, some house managing experience is a plus. If you’re not needed on property, you can work remotely, so must be self-motivated.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Keeping the house organized and well run

  • Overseeing vendors/service providers

  • Light tidying/housekeeping/organizing, i.e. unloading a dishwasher, taking trash to curb on a weekly basis. There’s a housekeeping service in place for regular cleanings that you may help oversee.

  • Supervising and managing renovations/construction

  • Interior decorating

  • Light plant care, such as watering plants

  • Research

  • Sorting through mail and assisting with bill paying

  • Keeping the household inventory well stocked

  • Helping with scheduling and coordinating calendars with other team members

  • Responsible for care of principals’ cars, such as fueling, car washes, and scheduling maintenance

  • Possibility of travel

  • Proactively pitching in wherever help is needed with big/small tasks, i.e. reheating food prepared by Chef for principals, planning events/outings, etc

  • Light care for friendly small-medium dog (walks, vet, groomers)

Requirements:

  • Ability to work well with others in the home (principals, staff, children) as well as remote coworkers

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Tech-savvy

  • Detail-oriented

  • Service-minded

  • Comfortable with spreadsheets

  • Loves dogs

  • Covid-vaccinated

  • Valid driver’s license and car to run occasional errands

  • Legally allowed to work in the U.S.
