Full Time Chef in Santa Monica (Summer Travel)
A high-profile, ultra-high-net-worth family based in Santa Monica is seeking a full-time Private Chef to join their household team. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced, health-conscious chef with a refined culinary background and a deep understanding of high-end, nutritious cuisine. This position requires formal service experience, flexibility for entertaining, and willingness to travel, particularly to the East Coast during summer months and select holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals focused on clean, high-quality, seasonal, and health-conscious cuisine.
Create menus that reflect client preferences, dietary requirements, and nutritional goals.
Execute formal plated and buffet-style service for events, dinners, and gatherings.
Source and procure the freshest organic and locally-sourced ingredients.
Maintain an immaculately clean and organized kitchen, adhering to top food safety and hygiene standards.
Work closely with household staff to ensure seamless service and hospitality.
Pack and prepare meals/snacks for travel, outings, or on-the-go needs.
Travel with the family to the East Coast in the summer and occasionally during holidays to provide full-time culinary support.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Private Chef for UHNW clients or in high-end restaurants.
Expertise in healthy, clean, and elevated cuisine (e.g., California/Mediterranean, plant-forward, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc.).
Formal service and event experience required.
Discreet, professional, and well-versed in working in high-security, fully staffed homes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Schedule:
Full-time with flexibility. Includes some weekends, holidays, and travel.
