Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant in Venice
We're looking for an experienced Nanny/Family Assistant in Venice for a 17 month old and a newborn. Schedule will be Sun-Thu. Sun schedule fluctuates depending on activities but will typically be late morning through dinner. Weekday schedule will be 8am-6pm. Looking for someone who has flexibility to stay late if the parents want to go out and occasional overnights. Must be available to travel with the family both domestically and internationally.
The ideal candidate has a warm, loving and gentle approach and is confident in their infant/childhood development knowledge for milestones and age appropriate activities. Background as a preschool or elementary teacher is a huge plus! Must be a team player and be willing to pitch in wherever needed. Must have extensive newborn experience and experience with multiple children.
Flexibility is key to be able to stay late on weekday evenings, travel, and occasionally work 24/7 shifts overnight.
The clients are hoping to establish a long-term relationship with someone who will grow with their family.
Childcare Responsibilities:
Take care of the children, focused on skills development, education, and fun!
Maintain a safe, calm and clean environment in the household
Drive and accompany children to music classes, activities, and appointments
Focus on education: come up with age-appropriate activities and curriculum
Cook all food for the children from scratch
Children's laundry and organize children's closets
Pack and unpack the children’s items for travel
Maintain a calendar of the children’s appointments and schedules
Stock the household with all supplies needed for the children
Tidy the children’s rooms and common areas of the home during each shift
Family Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist the other household staff with small tasks as needed: meeting vendors at the house, picking up from the PO box, purchasing groceries or other items
Assist with pet care: feeding and walking the dog
When children are napping, seek out ways to assist around the household
Salary: $45-$50/hr + OT, $500/month health stipend, 10 days PTO, & 5 sick days
