Full-Time Houseman in Pasadena

We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and multi-skilled Full-Time Houseman to join a private household/estate team in Pasadena. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on variety and can tackle anything from fixing a leaky faucet to keeping the grounds tidy. The ideal candidate is a true “jack of all trades”, adaptable, and ready to roll up their sleeves to support the smooth running of the home.

Schedule Options:

  • Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00–5:30 PM (40 hours/week)

  • Sunday-Thursday, 1:00-9:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Maintenance: Perform minor repairs around the house (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, patching walls, replacing light bulbs, basic carpentry)

  • Driving: Must be able to drive a sprinter

  • Groundskeeping: Mow lawns, trim bushes, clear leaves, and keep outdoor areas presentable

  • Errands & Logistics: Run household errands (e.g., grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, dropping off packages)

  • Basic Vehicle Care: Wash cars, fuel car, check oil, or coordinate with mechanics for bigger fixes

  • Household Organization: Help with seasonal tasks like organizing garages, attics, or storage rooms

  • Pet Care: Feed, walk, or play with dogs and take them to the groomer

  • Guest Support: Assist with setup/cleanup for small gatherings or events (e.g., moving furniture, setting tables)

  • Jack of All Trades Tasks: Handle various tasks as needed—assembling furniture, painting, or getting the grill working again

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Flexible

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Versatility: Ability to handle a wide range of tasks

  • Basic Handyman Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general DIY

  • Problem-Solving: Quick to troubleshoot issues, from a squeaky door to a stubborn coffee maker

  • Physical Stamina: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stay active throughout the day

  • Reliability: Punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Communication Skills: Able to take directions from Estate Manager and coordinate with staff

  • Driver’s License: Valid license and clean driving record

  • Travel: Occasionally needs to travel with family for 6-7 days
